How to set a Daily, Weekly, Monthly or Yearly Loss/Transfer limit?

What are Loss/Transfer Limits?

Loss/Transfer Limits allow you to gain more control over your gambling. Loss/Transfer Limits set a limit on the amount you can lose or transfer for a period of your choice. If you increase the amount or frequency, it will not take effect for 7 days. Decreases take immediate effect.

Paddy Power wants you to enjoy yourself in a responsible manner. Paddy Power provides its customers with several options to ensure their entertainment has a positive impact on them. One of these options are Loss/Transfer Limits.

During initial registration you will be given the opportunity to set Loss/Transfer Limit amounts on a daily, weekly, monthly or yearly basis. If you would like to update these details or apply them after registraton, this can be done in the 'My Account' section of the website when you are logged in.

 

How can I set Loss/Transfer Limits?

Desktop Journey

You can set Loss/Transfer Limits on desktop or laptop by following these six simple steps:

 Step 1.

At the top right of the Paddy Power homepage you will find the 'My Account' button. Press it.

 Step 2.

A drop down bar will appear. On the drop down bar you will find a section named 'My Account'.  Click it.

 Step 3.

You will be brought into the 'My Account' screen.  On the navigation bar, you will see the 'Responsible Gambling' section. Click it.

 Step 4.

In this screen, you will find the 'Loss/Transfer Limit' section. There you will find a button named 'Edit'. Click here.

 Step 5.

The 'Loss/Transfer Limit' options will appear where you can set your preferences such as you 'Loss/Transfer Limit Period'. Your selection will be finalised by inputting your password and clicking 'Save Changes'.

Mobile Journey

You can set Loss/Transfer Limits on Paddy Power mobile by following these simple steps:

Step 1.   Tap the downard facing arrow in the top right corner of the page, then select 'My Account' from the drop down menu
Step 2. Scroll down to the account details header, then tap 'Responsible Gambling'
Step 3. Under the 'Loss/Transfer Limit' option, tap into the 'Edit' option
Step 4. The popup window will now display the options to set including the 'Product' you wish to set the limit for, the 'Limit Period' you want the limit to run for and the 'Amount' of your limit
Step 5. Finally to apply the limit, enter your account password and tap 'Save changes' to finish

Important Note: If you try to remove or increase your Loss/Transfer Limit, it will only take effect if you confirm this change after 7 days. Any decrease to your Loss/Transfer Limit will be applied immediately.

Please be aware that if you apply any player protection tool to your Betfair account it will not automatically apply to your Paddy Power account. If you wish to set a player protection tool you can do so via your Paddy Power account online or alternatively, Customer Services can set this for you.
