What is a Deposit Control?
Deposit controls are simple tools to help you control how much you spend in a daily, weekly or monthly period. There are two types you can choose from which are a deposit limit or net deposit limit. They can be found in the Deposit Controls section of our Safer Gambling tools.
For customers based in the United Kingdom, if you wish to decrease your limit you can do this at any time, and it will be effective immediately. To increase your limit, however, it will take 24 hours to take effect on your account. After this 24-hour period you will be asked to confirm the change on logging in.
What Deposit Controls do we offer?
Deposit Limit
Deposit limits only consider your deposits, meaning winnings and withdrawals do not count. This is a fixed limit that runs on a calendar basis, so once you hit it, that's it until the limit renews.
Net Deposit Limit
Net Deposit Limits considers your deposits into the account minus any withdrawals. When you make a deposit, your remaining limit goes down. When you withdraw, your remaining limit goes up. Net Deposit Limits also work on a fixed calendar basis.
How to set a Deposit Control
Step 1. When you select My Account, then select Safer Gambling Tools from the drop down. You'll find 'Deposit Controls' listed with our other Safer Gambling tools.
Step 2. Select the limit type you would like to apply.
Step 3. Select the timeframe for the limit, Daily Weekly or Monthly, enter your desired limit amount and press continue.
How are Deposit Controls calculated?
Deposit Limit
Deposit limits work on a fixed period based strictly on your deposits- see example's below to understand how this works.
Example: Monthly Limit
You have set a £200 per month Deposit Limit on your account. Monthly limits run from the 1st to the end of the month.
On the 10th of the month:
You deposit £100.
You withdraw £50.
You now have £150 left to deposit for rest of the month. (£200 limit - £50 in net deposits).
On the 20th of the month
You deposit another £150, reaching your £200 Deposit Limit for the month.
You can't deposit more funds into your account until the 1st of the following month (unless you went on to withdraw).
Net Deposit Limit
Your limit is based on your net position. This is your deposits minus your withdrawals. For example:
You have set a £100 per week limit.
- You deposit £50 on Monday.
- You withdraw £100 on Tuesday.
- £100 (Deposit Limit) - £50 (Deposits) + £100 (Withdrawals)= £150 available to deposit for the rest of the week
Net Deposit Limits works on a set time-period.
Daily limits reset at 00:00 each day (UTC - Coordinated Universal Time).
Weekly limits reset every Monday at 00:00 (UTC - Coordinated Universal Time).
Monthly limits reset on the first of the month at 00:00 (UTC - Coordinated Universal Time).
